Job summary

QSL Management is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to support the maintenance and repair of the building and grounds, covering plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, landscaping and related systems. You will also ensure compliance with facility policies, safety procedures, and records.

You will inspect the property each morning, coordinate routine maintenance, refurbish vacated apartments, manage supplies, and provide safety orientations to new staff, reporting to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience with building repairs across trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Strong communication with management, vendors, and residents.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and repair of building and grounds across multiple trades.
• Ensure policies and procedures for maintenance, waste management, and fire safety are followed.
• Walk the property each morning to identify and address issues.
• Refurbish vacated apartments to readiness for admissions.
• Order routine maintenance supplies and services.
• Provide building orientation to new employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Description

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of the building and grounds. General support includes plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, flooring, landscaping, and bus maintenance.

The Maintenance Coordinator ensures that policies and procedures related to facility maintenance, housekeeping, waste management, storage, emergency preparedness and fire safety are followed consistently.

Requirements

• Interacts with management staff, department directors and housekeeping personnel along with vendors, residents, family members, and government officials.
• Perform and complete each essential duty satisfactorily, have excellent communication and language skills which enables them to successfully perform and complete their duties.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, construction and experience with completing general building repairs.
• Ensures building and grounds are clean, immaculate and appealing to residents, guests, referral sources and prospects.
• Provide accurate documentation as it applies to maintenance records on all systems and equipment including but not limited to fire sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, fire monitoring system, kitchen hood cleaning, elevator inspections, emergency back-up generator, HVAC & PTAC service
• Refurbishes vacated apartments to ensure readiness for future admissions
• Orders routine maintenance supplies and services as required
• Provides building and safety orientation to new employees
• Walks the property each morning to check for maintenance, touch-up and repair issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
