Job summary

IAHD in Westchester/Tarrytown is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Coordinator to lead proactive maintenance across facilities. You will design schedules, supervise staff, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Travel to IAHD sites in the Bronx and Westchester is expected. The role requires 5+ years in maintenance coordination, strong leadership, and ability to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance coordination/supervision.
• Proficiency in preventative maintenance and equipment repair.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones, Microsoft programs, and digital work request systems like FMX.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond to emergencies - outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventative maintenance by designing a proactive schedule.
• Train staff in basic maintenance tasks.
• Perform daily facility checks.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues.
• Maintain logs of repairs, inspections, inventory, and reports.
• Coordinate with service providers for outside repairs.
• Lead team, delegate tasks, schedule work.
• Travel to IAHD sites in the Bronx and Westchester.

Job Shift: Day

What You'll Do:

• Lead Preventative Maintenance: Design and manage a proactive maintenance schedule that keeps equipment running and minimizes disruptions.
• Hands-On & Team-Oriented: Train staff in basic maintenance-plastering, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Daily Facility Checks: Conduct regular inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities.
• Diagnose & Repair: Tackle maintenance issues head-on and make timely, quality repairs.
• Keep It on Record: Maintain logs of all repairs, inspections, inventory, and compliance reports.
• Vendor Coordinator: Work closely with service providers to manage outside repairs and maintenance needs.
• Team Leader: Delegate tasks, ensure quality control, and implement work schedules.
• On the Move: Travel across various IAHD sites in the Bronx and Westchester to support facility needs.
