Job summary

Complete Care in Grande Prairie, WI is hiring a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to support building operations and routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and follow safety policies to keep equipment and facilities running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma and the ability to work independently or with a team. Prior LTC facility experience is preferred but not required. Day shift, full-time, on-site position.

The Role

Position: Full-Time Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot building mechanical problems effectively.
• Perform repairs and conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure satisfactory operations.
• Apply technical knowledge of electrical systems, as well as heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Maintain Safety: Follow all established safety rules, policies, and procedures of the maintenance department.
• Collaborate: Complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Valid Safe Drivers License required
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care (LTC) setting is preferred but not required.
  • Experience performing basic building repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Completion of a maintenance apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner.
