Tarantino Properties is seeking Maintenance Assistants in Grand Prairie, TX / Arlington, TX to join a hands-on maintenance team. The role focuses on completing work orders, making-ready tasks, HVAC and plumbing basics, and keeping pool equipment well-maintained.

Ideal candidates are dependable and proactive, capable of handling diverse maintenance tasks to keep the property running smoothly. Prior apartment maintenance or make-ready experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment maintenance and make-ready tasks.
• Ability to diagnose basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and AC units.
• Familiar with on-call rotation and maintenance ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform apartment make-ready tasks and unit preparation.
• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC, furnaces, and air conditioning units.
• Identify and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and minor pipe repairs.
• Maintain pool equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Assist with general property upkeep and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of on-call rotation.

This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in apartment maintenance while working alongside an experienced maintenance team.

Essential Functions:

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner


• Perform apartment make-ready tasks, including repairs and unit preparation


• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning units


• Identify and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and minor pipe repairs


• Maintain pool equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards


• Assist with general property upkeep, including preventative maintenance

Requirements

• HVAC (EPA) certification preferred


• Pool certification preferred
