Job summary

Tarantino Properties in San Antonio, TX is seeking Maintenance Assistants to join a proactive team and help keep our apartment community well maintained. You will handle routine maintenance requests, complete make-ready tasks, and support a skilled maintenance team.

You will diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and plumbing, perform pool equipment maintenance, and contribute to safety compliance across the property. On-call shifts may be required to respond to emergencies.

• Knowledge of basic HVAC, furnaces, and plumbing.

Responsibilities

Tarantino Properties is currently seeking Maintenance Assistants in San Antonio, TX.

This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in apartment maintenance while working alongside an experienced maintenance team.

Essential Functions:

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner


• Perform apartment make-ready tasks, including repairs and unit preparation


• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning units


• Identify and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and minor pipe repairs


• Maintain pool equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards


• Assist with general property upkeep, including preventative maintenance


• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of an on-call rotation


• This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, proactive, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks to keep the property running smoothly.
  

Requirements

• HVAC (EPA) certification preferred


• Pool certification preferred


• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, furnaces, and plumbing


• Experience with apartment maintenance, make-ready processes, and work order systems
