Job summary

Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a maintenance worker for a single-site role. The position offers a new rate of $17 per hour, with the opportunity to perform routine maintenance, operate basic electrical and plumbing tasks, and assist with preventive maintenance as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, general maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment and keep in repair.
• Use basic electrical and plumbing tools for minor repairs.
• Move and transport large equipment around the facility.
• Run errands as needed for supplies and driving may be required.
• Assist with preventative maintenance duties as instructed.
• Complete routine tasks accurately with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions

1. Must operate machinery and equipment, maintain in good repair, and store in an orderly fashion.
2. Be able to handle and use simple electrical and plumbing equipment and make minor repairs.
3. Be able to carry, push, and pull large equipment in and out of facility.
4. Run errands as needed for supplies—requires driving a motor vehicle.
5. Assist with Preventative Maintenance duties as instructed.
6. Accurately completes routine tasks without the need of direct supervision.
