Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred, but not required as long as the level of experience is at a level necessary to perform the duties of this job.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs and day-to-day maintenance of the building, equipment, lawn, and grounds as directed.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean, safe, and obstruction-free.
• Participate in disasters and fire drills as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures, and items in residents' rooms and common areas.
• Report incidents or accidents to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly.
• May perform floor care as needed.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Must have regular attendance.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in a healthcare/office setting.
• Must be able to problem solve, if needed.

We are looking for a motivated assistant to join our maintenance department who will work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the building(s), equipment, and utilities are maintained in good working order and the center grounds are properly maintained in accordance with resident's needs, government regulations, and company values while providing excellent customer service to associates, residents, and visitors.

• Make sure equipment and work areas are kept clean, clear, safe, and free of obstruction.
• Participate in disasters and fire drills, as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform tasks that involve hanging bulletin boards, pictures, and necessary items used in the residents’ rooms, day rooms, common areas, and/or offices.
• Report any incident and/or accident to the Maintenance Supervisor as soon as possible.
• May also, perform floor care, as needed.
