Job Title: Maintenance Assistant

Join Kadima Healthcare as a Maintenance Assistant. This is an entry-level, full-time position in the healthcare industry, offering a base pay range of $16.00/hr. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing walls, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, and removing trash.
• Move furniture as needed for assignments.
• Coordinate with nursing services for routine maintenance in resident areas.
• Assist in terminal cleaning of resident rooms during transfers, discharges, or upon a resident's death.
• Follow maintenance schedules and instructions from supervisors.
• Perform routine repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Complete maintenance request slips and submit them to supervisors.
• Maintain grounds, parking areas, and driveways through trimming, sweeping, and policing.
• Replace burned-out lights, including exit and overhead lights.
• Assist in preventative maintenance to ensure operational machinery and equipment.
• May be scheduled for on-call responsibilities, including weekends and holidays.
• Perform emergency maintenance tasks as needed.
• Support the maintenance department's smooth operation and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in basic repairs such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting preferred.
• Previous long-term care experience is a plus.
