Description

1. Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for the respective shift or area.
2. Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, regardless of severity, on the shift in which they occur.
3. Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing staff when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
4. Perform related duties as directed by your supervisor, department director, or administrator.
5. Maintain resident confidentiality, especially regarding protected health information, and report any violations promptly.
6. Attend departmental and staff meetings as scheduled.
7. Follow daily work assignments and file complaints/grievances with your supervisor.
8. Adhere to maintenance schedules and policies, performing routine maintenance on grounds, facility, and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
9. Perform cleaning duties such as window and screen cleaning, replacing light bulbs, and maintaining heating/cooling units.
10. Handle unscheduled maintenance tasks and ensure replenishment of supplies.
11. Report equipment malfunctions promptly and follow safety precautions during all tasks.
12. Assist with lifting heavy objects and ensure equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
13. Perform any additional duties as assigned, including moving resident possessions when necessary.
14. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
15. Qualifications include at least a 10th-grade education, ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
16. Must possess basic mathematical skills, reasoning ability to solve practical problems, and physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
17. Work environment includes low to moderate noise levels, with reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
