Environmental Services - Maintenance Assistant

Join our team as an Environmental Services - Maintenance Assistant at Eagle Crest Communities.

Position Overview

Location: Eagle Crest South I, La Crosse, WI

Type: Casual Call; Daytime/Weekday Shifts. This role involves assisting on an as-needed basis to support facility maintenance and upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Assist with apartment turnover tasks such as painting and carpet maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance like furnace filter changes, light bulb replacements, and water temperature checks.
• Handle maintenance services including unclogging drains, plunging toilets, cable TV hookups, and responding to resident requests.
• Maintain records, documentation, and reports related to maintenance activities.
• Store deliveries, clean designated areas, and perform various other tasks as needed.
• Survey buildings and grounds; report unclean or unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, or system issues to supervisor.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of maintenance, monitoring equipment, and security devices is beneficial.
• Experience or skills in electrical, heating, plumbing, and use of small hand tools or equipment like vacuums and lawn tools is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage: $18.90+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Performance reviews at 6 months with potential wage increases for high performance.
