Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Camden, SC to help ensure the facility meets safety and aesthetic standards for patients and families. This full-time role involves rotating weekends and shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, contributing to a well-maintained environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems preferred.
• HVAC certification a plus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility per regulations.
• Participate in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that our grounds exceed the expectations of our patients and their families while they are in our care.

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times.
• Take part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required.
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required, HVAC certification a plus.
• Knowledge of safety regulations required.
• Reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license required.
• Maintenance experience preferred; especially in a healthcare facility.
