Job summary

Forest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director to assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Maintenance Department. This role helps ensure grounds and facilities exceed patient and family expectations during care.

Under the Maintenance Director, you will contribute to safety, upkeep, and regulatory compliance while participating in painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare facility maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and building systems.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Take part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance across facilities
• Support planning and directing of maintenance activities.

Job description

This role works under the direction of the Maintenance Director to ensure compliance with directives and established policies and procedures and assists in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing of the Maintenance Department.

The Assistant Maintenance Director plays a key role in ensuring that our grounds exceed the expectations of our patients and their families while they are in our care.

USD $25.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Take part in part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance
• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required, HVAC certification a plus
• Knowledge of safety regulations required
• Reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Maintenance experience preferred; especially in a healthcare facility
