Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help ensure the facility’s safety, appearance, and smooth operation while supporting the Maintenance Director in daily tasks.

The role involves assisting with painting, basic carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance to meet the standards of patient care areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required; HVAC certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety regulations required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
• Maintenance experience preferred, especially in healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times.
• Participate in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that our grounds exceed the expectations of our patients and their families while they are in our care.

Posted Salary Range

USD $19.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Take part in part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required, HVAC certification a plus
• Knowledge of safety regulations required
• Reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Maintenance experience preferred; especially in a healthcare facility
