Job summary

Fundamental is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director in Maryland to help ensure the facility meets safety, appearance, and maintenance standards under the Maintenance Director's direction.

The role focuses on supporting the Maintenance Department, with responsibilities spanning painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and grounds upkeep in a healthcare setting. The posted wage is $25.00–$28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required; healthcare maintenance experience preferred.

Job description

This role works under the direction of the Maintenance Director to ensure compliance with directives and established policies and procedures and assists in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing of the Maintenance Department.

Position Summary

The Assistant Maintenance Director plays a key role in ensuring that our grounds exceed the expectations of our patients and their families while they are in our care.

Posted Salary Range

USD $25.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Take part in part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required, HVAC certification a plus
• Knowledge of safety regulations required
• Reliable source of transportation and valid driver's license required
• Maintenance experience preferred; especially in a healthcare facility
