Summary: Maintenance Assistants are responsible for the upkeep of school buildings through performing maintenance tasks, light custodial work, and groundskeeping. Maintenance Assistants work alone or with others to complete tasks and projects that keep the district facilities in safe and good repair.
Requirements:
Salary and Benefits: The starting salary range for this position is $18.75-$20.25per hour depending on previous maintenance/custodial/event setup experience. Please see the Classified Salary Schedule on the district website, weldre9.org under "Work for Weld Re-9." The district provides a PERA retirement plan, long-term disability, an optional supplemental 401(k) plan, and the ability to enroll in supplemental insurances and savings accounts through a third-party vendor. Weld RE-9 offers sick leave and personal leave. This position receives 10 days of vacation time per year after the first year of employment, and 15 days per year after 10 years of employment. Maintenance staff receive free cafeteria meals.
