Job summary

The Weld Re-9 School District in Ault, CO is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance department with custodial tasks, groundskeeping, and basic repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal background check.
• Valid Colorado Driver's license (insurability preferred).
• Ability to work outside normal hours for emergencies (e.g., snow removal).
• Self-motivated, team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance tasks including custodial, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, paint repairs.
• Light janitorial work as needed, including emergency situations before custodial staff arrive.
• Groundskeeping duties: mowing, trimming, snow removal, hauling debris.
• Drive a district vehicle to various worksites.
• Maintain accurate equipment and maintenance records.
• Prioritize and schedule work; meet timelines.
• Operate small equipment such as bobcats, mowers, lifts, cleaning equipment.
• Promote safety, quality customer service, and collaboration with staff.
