Job summary

Enterprise Community Partners is hiring a Maintenance Apprentice to support property upkeep, safety, and resident satisfaction across communities in Los Angeles. You will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor on preventive, routine, and emergency tasks while developing trade skills for a future Maintenance Technician role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair and painting skills.
• EPA 608 Technician Certification Type II or Universal or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong verbal and written English communication and customer service.
• Read and understand policies and safety notices in English.
• Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient basic computer keyboarding and navigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate, high-quality completion of resident service requests.
• Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs and general upkeep.
• Contribute to marketing and resident satisfaction through excellent customer service.
• Maintain safe, tidy areas including dumpster areas and waste preparation.
• Monitor grounds and advise management of maintenance needs.
• Participate in apartment turnovers; repair, renovate, paint, and clean vacant units.
• Maintain landscaping and handle snow removal when needed.
• Comply with Enterprise policies and procedures; respond to emergencies when on-call.
