Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Apprentice to join the maintenance team. The role reports to the Community Manager and focuses on minor repairs, efficient time management, and maintaining high property standards for residents.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of grounds experience, be proficient with equipment like pressure washers, and demonstrate strong safety awareness, teamwork, and reliability in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of grounds or porter experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to safely operate property maintenance equipment (e.g., pressure washer, leaf blower, snowblower).
• Ability to perform minor maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Detail‑oriented and thorough.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, prospects, residents, vendors, and all visitors of the property.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and maintenance.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Complete make‑ready inspections and coordinate needed trades and materials.
• Assist in maintaining grounds and common areas; perform cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and track inventory.
