Job summary

Stanley David and Associates is seeking a seasoned mainframe storage specialist to support and optimize enterprise storage environments. You will manage Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780 systems, and DFSMS/CA-1 tooling while ensuring high availability and proactive performance tuning.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000 and IBM TS7780 storage systems.
• Experience with DFSMS suite and CA-1 for storage management.
• In-depth knowledge of SMP/E for ISV installs.
• Expertise in storage replication, DR setup, and DR drills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational support for mainframe storage systems and utilities.
• Perform mainframe storage recovery activities to ensure high availability.
• Offer technical guidance to application development teams as needed.
• On-call support for mainframe storage issues and troubleshooting.

Job description

• Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780,
• DFSMS suite, CA-1
• FDR/ABR
• SMP/E – in depth knowledge to do install work on ISV products
• Setup and Manage Mainframe DC Storage Replication
• IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning
• PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation and maintenance
• Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.
• Provide 24/7 operational support for Mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.
• Perform Mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Provide technical guidance and advice to application development teams on need basis
• On-Call support for any mainframe storage related issues troubleshooting
