Job Summary:

The Mainframe Storage & Backup Engineer is responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of the mainframe storage and backup infrastructure. The role manages IBM DS8910F storage systems, TS7770 virtual tape environments, tape operations, replication technologies, FCIP connectivity, and backup and recovery processes. The individual ensures data availability, integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and optimal storage performance for mission-critical mainframe workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain IBM TS7770 Virtual Tape Systems, tape libraries, and related backup infrastructure.


• Monitor storage capacity, utilization, performance, and availability to ensure uninterrupted operations.
