Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Mainframe Storage Administrator in Salt Lake City, UT. The role requires hands-on expertise with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780, and related storage tooling to ensure high availability and DR readiness.

You will provide 24/7 operational support, perform recovery activities, and advise application teams on storage considerations. The position offers challenging engineering work in an enterprise mainframe environment with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mainframe storage hardware and related utilities.
• Ability to perform DR drills and disaster recovery activities.
• Familiar with SMP/E and IODF/IOCDS configurations.
• Experience with PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational support for mainframe storage systems and related software.
• Perform storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability.
• Guide development teams on storage requirements and best practices.

Mainframe Storage Admin

• Hands-on experience with Hitachi VSP 5000, IBM TS7780,
• DFSMS suite, CA-1
• FDR/ABR
• SMP/E – in depth knowledge to do install work on ISV products
• Setup and Manage Mainframe DC Storage Replication
• IODF/IOCDS, HCD/HCM, Mainframe Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning
• PARMLIB and PROCLIB concatenation and maintenance
• Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills.
• Provide 24/7 operational support for Mainframe storage systems and associated utilities.
• Perform Mainframe storage system recovery activities to ensure high availability and resilience.
• Provide technical guidance and advice to application development teams on need basis
• Hitachi HUR

On-Call support for any mainframe storage related issues troubleshooting

Salary Range- $90,000-$110,000 a year
