Job summary

Info Origin Inc seeks a skilled Mainframe Operator to act as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical IT incidents. The role requires coordinating with IT staff, customers, and vendors, using monitoring systems to track infrastructure status and performance, and monitoring mainframe consoles.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe and related tools, and must be able to perform deliveries and lift up to 50 pounds. This position is based in MI, US.

Qualifications

• Functions as a Level 1 Incident Manager for critical incidents/events relating to various IT technology.
• Excellent communication skills necessary to collaborate with IT staff, customers and vendors.
• Utilize graphical monitoring systems tracking availability and status of infrastructure connectivity, assets and services.
• Monitors mainframe control consoles, periodically checking system performance. May assist with the review/validation of mainframe job control language. Perform deliveries as assigned and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have in-depth knowledge and at least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Teams, What’s Up Gold, Pingdom, PRTG, IBM Mainframe

Responsibilities

• Serve as Level 1 Incident Manager for critical IT incidents and events.
• Collaborate with IT staff, customers and vendors to resolve issues.
• Monitor and analyze system health using graphical monitoring tools.
• Monitor mainframe consoles, review job control language, and carry out deliveries as needed.
• Adhere to safety requirements including lifting up to 50 pounds.
