Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in mainframe development with proficiency in COBOL, JCL and VSAM.
Familiarity with IBM z/OS environments and tools such as ISPF and SDSF.
Experience with DB2, IMS or CICS is a strong plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and related technologies.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex mainframe systems for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging of mainframe programs.
Support batch processing, job scheduling, and mainframe infrastructure operations.
Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and legacy modernization initiatives.
Document technical specifications, workflows, and system changes.
