St. John’s College High School is seeking a dedicated Main Office Coordinator to manage daily administrative operations for the Main and Principal’s Offices. You will greet students and families, handle emails, track attendance issues, and support events and projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years in administrative or school-office work. Strong communication and discretion are essential for success in a busy Catholic school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors at the Main Office.
  • Answer and direct incoming emails.
  • Identify unresolved attendance issues and assist with follow-up.
  • Support late arrivals, early dismissals, and attendance processes.
  • Respond to routine questions and route complex concerns to the appropriate administrator.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Principal and Assistant Principals.
  • Coordinate mail, deliveries, and school mailings.
  • Maintain office and staff-room supplies and refreshments.
  • Assist with major school events and administrative projects.
  • Support day-to-day office operations and collaboration with the office team.

Job description

The Main Office Coordinator is the primary point person for the daily administrative operations of the Main Office and Principal’s Office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors who come to the Main Office.
  • Answering and directing incoming emails.

  • Assisting with major school events and administrative projects.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Principal and Assistant Principals.
  • Helping coordinate day-to-day office operations.

The individual is someone who has a strong understanding of the daily rhythm of the school and can help ensure that routine operational needs are handled efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least two years of administrative, school-office, customer-service, or related professional experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency with email, calendars, spreadsheets, shared documents, and standard office technology.
  • Ability to learn and use student information, attendance, visitor-management, and communication systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential student, family, and personnel information.
  • Ability to communicate warmly and effectively with students, families, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative office team.

Other Info

Full-time, 12-month position
Salary Range: $55,000–$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
