Job summary

BDI is seeking a detail-oriented Mailroom Associate to manage all phases of mail production and distribution under a federal contract. The role demands meticulous sorting, timely delivery to mail stops, and strict adherence to guidelines and timeframes.

We value strong organizational skills, excellent communication and the ability to work under pressure. Duties include maintaining logs, meeting quality standards, and performing additional tasks as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required; related experience a plus.
• Problem-solve with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking and time-management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and distribute outgoing and incoming mail and packages according to regulations.
• Sort mail by destination/type; distribute to individuals or departments.
• Weigh, stamp and arrange for outgoing mail; operate postage metering machine.
• Re-address undeliverable mail with incomplete or incorrect addresses.
• Maintain records of receipt, mailing dates and required information.
• Meet established quality and productivity standards; perform other tasks as assigned.
