Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in New York is seeking a Mail Services Associate to manage the mailroom for a building or campus, ensuring accurate handling of mail, shipments, and stationery according to the daily schedule.

You will audit deliveries, process shipments, apply postage, stock copy rooms, respond to inquiries, and analyze data to identify process improvements, contributing to efficient Office Operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required with 3-4 years of related experience.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong understanding of processes, procedures, systems and concepts within own job function.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual or complex content concisely and logically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related Office tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Audit delivered items with delivery invoices.
  • Approve or reject deliveries based on inspections and contraband.
  • Ensure all packages arrive same day or inform consignee of next-day arrival; move mail, packages and supplies per daily schedule.
  • Protect shipments against damage and ensure proper handling.
  • Process shipment requests with vendors and notify package owners.
  • Apply postage and identifications to outgoing mail and packages.
  • Stock copy rooms and support copier fleet production.
  • Answer inquiries from clients, colleagues, and supervisors and present information clearly.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve problems; may propose improvements.
