Job summary

Vomela is seeking a Mail Department Operator to manage outgoing mail, ensure accurate sorting, and document processes. This onsite role is based in Springfield, VA, with a 1:00 - 9:00pm schedule and a pay range of $21 - $27.50 USD per hour.

You will read job orders, operate mailroom equipment, and maintain records. The role requires a high school diploma and experience with mailing inserters, plus strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience running mailing inserter machines is required.
• Familiarity with postal regulations, procedures and mail sorting technologies is advantageous.
• Proven experience in an administrative role is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and records.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility.
• Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications.
• Be accountable for quality, on time work.
• Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment.
• Maintains mail machinery in working order, clearing jams in equipment and operating computers.
• Maintain an accurate record of all mail processed and distributed.
• Other duties as assigned.
