Job summary

Vomela Company in Springfield, VA is seeking a Mail Department Operator to manage outgoing mail, ensure accurate sorting, and document workflows. The role supports efficient distribution and quality control in a fast-paced facility.

The shift runs 1:00 - 9:00pm. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience with mailing inserter machines; prior administrative work is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience running mailing inserter machines is required.
• Administrative experience is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility.
• Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications.
• Be accountable for quality, on time work.
• Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment.
• Maintains mail machinery in working order, clearing jams in equipment and operating computers.
• Maintain an accurate record of all mail processed and distributed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$21 - 27.50 USD/hourly

What You'll Do...

• Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility
• Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications
• Be accountable for quality, on time work
• Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment
• Maintains mail machinery in working order, clearing jams in equipment and operating computers
• Maintain an accurate record of all mail processed and distributed
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience running mailing inserter machines required
• Proven experience in an administrative role is an advantage
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and records
• Familiarity with postal regulations, procedures, and mail sorting technologies
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and vendors
