Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is recruiting an experienced registered nurse to provide high‑quality patient care on the Seacoast. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, mentor colleagues, and coordinate plans across shifts in a Magnet‑recognized environment.

Qualifications

• NH RN license or compact state license.
• BCLS certified or within 30 days of hire; BSN strongly preferred.
• ACLS certified or within 1 year of hire.
• Adheres to hospital policies, ANA standards of practice, and nursing code of ethics; ensures safe, timely and accurate medication and IV administration and documentation.
• Mentoring/new employee precepts; delivers education and supports professional development.
• Delegates tasks appropriate to licensure and experience; monitors completion.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments at admission and ongoing.
• Plans, prioritizes, and coordinates care across shifts and teams.
• Documents accurately and uses information systems for care planning.
• Maintains ongoing professional growth and participates in education programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient‑centered nursing care and clinical assessments.
• Mentor and precept new staff; lead learning activities and case presentations.
• Ensure safe medication administration and accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for patient care planning.
• Support discharge planning and family education to improve outcomes.
