Qualifications

• RN license – NH or any other compact state.
• BCLS certified or within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certified or within 1 year of hire.
• Adheres to ANA standards of practice and nursing code of ethics.
• Ensures safe, timely and accurate medication and IV administration and transcription.
• Documentation is accurate, timely, concise, and legible and adheres to departmental policy.
• Integrates policies and/or national practice guidelines into patient care planning.

Responsibilities

• Mentors new employees, sets goals and supports professional development.
• Precepts and provides teaching to peers to encourage critical thinking.
• Delegates tasks appropriately based on licensure and experience.
• Performs thorough physical assessments and patient history on admission.
• Prioritizes care problems and manages assignments efficiently.
• Plans and implements care with effective handoffs and clear communication.
• Evaluates outcomes and adjusts the care plan accordingly.
• Educates patients and families, documents responses, and develops materials.
• Pursues ongoing formal education to advance clinical skills.
