Job summary

Requirements include NH RN license or compact state, BCLS (within 30 days of hire), ACLS within 1 year, and BSN strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Adheres to hospital policies, ANA standards, and nursing ethics.
• Accurate medication and IV administration, and transcription.
• Proficient with hospital information systems.
• Documentation is timely, concise, and legible per policy.
• Integrates national guidelines into patient care planning.

Responsibilities

• Precepts new employees and supports learning goals.
• Mentors and encourages critical thinking among staff.
• Delegates tasks according to licensure and experience.
• Performs comprehensive physical assessments on admission.
• Prioritizes and manages patient care across assignments.
• Plans care and discharge with multidisciplinary input.
• Evaluates care plan effectiveness and adjusts as needed.
• Educates patients and families; develops educational materials.
• Pursues ongoing professional growth and skills.
