Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in systems or solutions architecture
• 3+ years leading technical teams or as an engineering manager
• AWS Solutions Architect certification strongly preferred
• Experience with AWS in Linux environments and Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) implementations
• Backend languages: PHP, Python, Java, Node.js; frontend: React, Vue, Angular
• API-first systems: REST, GraphQL; ETL/data pipelines
• Experience integrating ERP/OMS/3PL and analytics platforms
• Database architecture: MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch; observability and DevOps experience
• Experience working with globally distributed teams and strong stakeholder communication
• Bachelor-type educational background or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Define and evangelize system and cloud architecture strategy for AWS-based Linux environments
• Lead integrations with ERP, OMS, 3PL, analytics platforms and third-party services
• Set standards for API and data architectures including REST, GraphQL, and event-driven patterns
• Own database architecture decisions and data modeling across services
• Drive observability and monitoring strategy for operations
• Champion DevOps and infrastructure-as-code practices (CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation, Kubernetes)
• Mentor technical leads and engineers; grow architecture capability across distributed teams
• Collaborate with product, security, and operations to translate requirements into solutions
• Evaluate and select core platform technologies and vendors; manage technical debt and migrations
• Represent architecture in planning and communicate decisions to executives
