Helen of Troy is seeking a Manager, Systems Architecture to lead the design of scalable, secure ecommerce solutions across our Direct-to-Consumer ecosystem. You will collaborate with backend, frontend, DevOps, and analytics teams to shape technology strategy and drive architectural excellence.

The role requires 10+ years in software and 5+ years in systems architecture, with Magento 2 expertise and strong AWS/cloud experience. This is a full-time U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in solution or systems architecture.
• 5+ years architecting Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) or comparable enterprise ecommerce platforms.
• 3+ years in a technical lead or engineering management role.
• 3+ years designing cloud-based solutions on AWS within Linux environments.
• Proven cross-functional leadership across backend, frontend, integration, DevOps, and analytics.
• Strong programming background in PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, JavaScript; familiarity with React/Vue.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL, event-driven patterns and integration with ERP/OMS/3PL.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end architecture across backend, frontend, integration, DevOps, and analytics layers.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture diagrams.
• Produce architecture documentation (e.g., Confluence) for engineering alignment.
• Lead architecture reviews and enforce standards, patterns, and guardrails.
• Mentor engineers and lead engineers toward architectural excellence.
• Ensure scalable, secure, high-performing ecommerce platforms.
