Job summary

Helen of Troy is seeking a Manager, Systems Architecture to lead the design of scalable, secure ecommerce platforms for iconic brands. You will shape the technology strategy and partner with backend, frontend, DevOps, and analytics teams to deliver cohesive, future-ready solutions.

You will guide architecture across platforms like Magento 2, React/Vue frontends, and AWS cloud, ensuring performance and security while mentoring engineers and aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering with 5+ years in solution or systems architecture.
• 5+ years architecting Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) in enterprise ecommerce.
• 3+ years in technical lead or engineering management.
• 3+ years designing cloud-based solutions on AWS in Linux environments.
• Strong programming background in PHP, Python, Java, Node.js, JavaScript.
• Experience with global distributed teams and frontend frameworks.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end architecture across backend, frontend, integration, DevOps and analytics.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs and diagrams.
• Lead architecture reviews and enforce standards across DTC teams.
• Collaborate with managers and cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies.
• Shape the multi-year DTC technology roadmap and modernization efforts.
• Ensure scalability, security, performance and maintainability.
