Job summary

Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. in Rock Spring, GA, is seeking a Machining Utility to visually inspect aluminum parts and support CNC loading/unloading across three shifts. The role focuses on maintaining quality and safe production flow in the Machining department.

The position is full-time and non-exempt, requiring flexibility to assist different lines and help lead tasks when the Line Leader is absent. A strong teamwork mindset and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Forklift operations experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Familiar with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Visual quality check of raw cast aluminum products
• Visual quality check of machined aluminum products
• Loading of raw cast aluminum product into manual CNC machine
• Unloading of machined product from CNC machine
• Loading conveyor with machined aluminum products
• End of shift area clean up – or as needed
• Must be able to work where needed in the machining department
• Must be able to support other departments as and when needed
• Fill in as “Step-Up” Line Leader when assigned Line Leader is absent
• Assist any line leaders, supervisors, managers in other tasks assigned.
• If all these tasks are complete you are to report for additional work to the immediate supervisor.
