Job summary

Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. is seeking a Machining Operator to join the Machining department. The role involves visual quality checks, loading and unloading aluminum parts, and forklift operation within a three-shift environment in Rock Spring, GA.

We expect candidates to have forklift experience (preferred 2 years) and solid knowledge of manufacturing practices. The position is non-exempt and reports to the Machining Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred (2 years)
• Familiarity with manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform visual quality checks on raw cast and machined aluminum products
• Load raw cast aluminum into CNC machines and unload machined parts
• Operate forklift to move materials and assist in machining area
• Support other departments as needed and report safety or quality issues
