Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking a Machining Tech II - 2nd Shift for our Fullerton, CA location. The role centers on operating and maintaining lathes, mills, and drillers after setup, with emphasis on precision and adherence to production standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of related machining experience, ability to read drawings, and familiarity with quality tools. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, is offered.

Qualifications

Two years of related experience or training in manufacturing/quality processes.
Able to read/interpret part drawings and blueprints.
Familiar with quality tools and inspection methods.
Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain standard or specialized production machines (lathes, mills, drillers) after setup.
Make minor adjustments and tool changes as needed.
Operate machines per work orders and ensure precision within tolerances.
Inspect parts with gauges and SPC charts; report malfunctions or stop procedures as required.
Assist with training of operators and maintain clean, safe work area.
