Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) in Fullerton, CA seeks a Machine Tech V for the 2nd shift. This role sets up and operates multiple spindle screw machines, making minor adjustments as needed, and trains operators.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; or five or more years related experience or training as a Screw Machine Set Up Operator; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Read/interpret English documents; communicate with managers and coworkers.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, multiply/divide; compute rate, ratio, percent; read bar graphs.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense; solve problems with several variables.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates multiple spindle automatic screw machines.
• Makes minor adjustments to the process or machine.
• Performs tool changes and adjustments.
• Operates machines per work orders; checks parts for tolerances.
• Reads micrometers, gauges; maintains SPC charts.
• Reads blueprints and routers; trains operators.
• Lifts up to 30 lbs; maintains clean, safe work area.
