Job summary

Howmet Aerospace, via its Howmet Fastening Systems unit, is seeking a Machining Tech IV for the 2nd shift in Fullerton, CA. The role involves setting up and operating forming presses from 60 to 700 tons and ensuring parts meet blueprint specifications.

You will use micrometers, calipers and other precision tools, read drawings, and assist in training operators while maintaining safety and housekeeping on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating machinery.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturers drawings, prints, catalogs, and other written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates forming presses (60 to 700 ton).
• Assembles and adjusts die sets by selecting proper tooling and tests.
• Uses micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, depth micrometers and dial indicators to check parts.
• Trains machine operators and assists supervision.
• Lifts up to 30 lbs and maintains a clean, safe workspace.
