Job summary

Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. seeks a Supervisor, Machining to lead the Machining department on a full-time basis at Rock Spring, GA. The position reports to a Production Manager and oversees safety, quality, and delivery of automotive components across shifts.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, daily performance tracking, and coaching of line leaders and associates to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing supervisory roles is preferred.
• Management training offered by Astemo Rock Spring.
• Experience in automotive or power sport component lines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing efforts to produce quality automotive parts.
• Promote safety first culture and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Ensure daily counts for machine WIP, finished goods, and components.
• Analyze previous shifts DT and production issues; report gaps.
• Maintain and report on BPS boards and hourly progress.
• Schedule manpower via Paycom for breaks and overtime as needed.
• Coach line leaders and associates with timely feedback and documentation.
• Meet daily production targets and explain any misses.
• Identify and communicate quality issues and drive containment.
• Lead problem solving using 5 WHY and escalate as needed.
