Job summary

Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. in Rock Spring, GA, is seeking a Supervisor of Machining to oversee the machining department and lead production on three shifts. The role requires ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of automotive components, while directing line leaders and reporting key metrics.

Responsibilities

• Safety first mindset and promote a safety-first attitude daily.
• Ensure daily production counts (WIP, finished goods, components) are complete and accurate.
• Understand previous shifts DT and production issues.
• Maintain BPS boards and report hourly progress and quality losses.
• Work overtime as needed to supply customer parts.
• Allocate manpower according to customer needs.
• Train new line leaders to standard job descriptions.
• Meet daily production targets and report any misses with reasons.
• Engage in daily line issues and provide reporting.
• Communicate effectively to all levels of management.
• Timely coaching and counseling of line leaders and associates.
• Schedule manpower using Paycom for weekend overtime.
• Gather information and perform 5 WHY reporting on customer issues.
