Collins Aerospace in Carroll, IA is seeking a Manufacturing Lead for the 2nd shift to guide calibration, welding, machining and OJT training. You will mentor staff and drive on-time delivery while upholding safety and quality programs.

The role requires an HS Diploma or equivalent, strong communication and familiarity with manufacturing processes. Onsite role with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent in related discipline.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate precision manual or computerized machining centers according to standard work.
• Adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and tooling per machining requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Apply quality testing techniques and inspect products with precision gauges and instruments.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Documentation and Labor Transactions.
• Follow EHS, Quality, and CI guidelines and standards.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and safety-related activities.
• Work extended shifts/overtime as needed; some holidays may be required.
• First 2-3 months training on a 7:00–3:30 schedule, then 3:30–12:00 shift, Monday–Friday.
