Job summary

ACCO Brands is seeking a production line operator in Alabama to operate an automated assembly line, perform setup changes, and monitor quality. You will assist with changeovers, run tests, load materials, and ensure adherence to customer specifications while maintaining accurate production records.

The role involves manual handling up to 45 lbs, basic machinery maintenance, and collaboration with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple work instructions, written correspondence, and memos; able to write simple correspondence and production reports.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Reviews orders from a defined specification sheet or from Supervisor; ensures materials and specs are correct.
• Operates and repairs basic machinery.
• Performs start-up and shutdown procedures for the production line.
• Sets up processes for machines (roll stand, board feeder, imprint unit, labeler, press head, etc.).
• Operates and adjusts equipment to produce quality products.
• Checks quality of raw materials and finished products using gauges and specs.
• Maintains production records and adheres to customer specs.
• Loads raw materials using chain hoists and manual handling of rolls up to 45 lbs.
