Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Alabama is seeking a Production Operator IV to support a team‑oriented production line. You will operate automated equipment, diagnose machinery issues, assist with preventative maintenance, and help ensure product safety and quality.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a technical certification; 2+ years of related experience is preferred. The role requires flexibility to move across production areas and accurate data entry in enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
• Two or more years of related experience is expected.
• Military training or ≥45 college credits may substitute for formal training.
• AIB 'Science of Baking' course may be included in certification.

Responsibilities

• Check and adhere to production work schedule for job assignments and work reporting times.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times while on duty.
• Operate facility metal detector(s) with full training/certification.
• Comply with safety rules, GMPs and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with EEO, Harassment, Safety and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
• Set up equipment and ensure continuous, efficient flow of materials.
• Verify product quality meets required standards and adjust equipment as needed.
• Complete required documentation and system entries accurately and on time.

Education

High School diploma or equivalence

Technical certification course (e.g., HVAC, auto maintenance)

Equivalent military training or 45 college credits substitution

AIB 'Science of Baking' course
