Job summary

OPT US in Cupertino, CA seeks a results-driven technical sales professional to expand business in the USA. You will drive new business development, manage the full sales cycle, and collaborate with engineering to tailor proposals.

Initially, no direct reports; you will build relationships with key accounts, provide accurate forecasts, and travel as needed to industry events and customers, working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years in technical sales, business development, or sales engineering in high-tech industries.
• A strong hunter mentality with a proactive, results-driven approach to closing new business opportunities.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
• Ability to analyze customer operations and clearly communicate the value of products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM tools for pipeline and sales reporting.
• Team player who can also work independently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• New Business Development: Build relationships with new customers by offering valuable insights and growing your network.
• Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, outreach, and industry events.
• Sales Cycle Leadership: Own the full sales process from leads to quoting, negotiating, and closing deals.
• Customer Relationship Management: Develop long-term relationships to drive repeat, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
• Technical Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to design and pitch customized proposals.
• Leverage Internal Expertise: Consult with sales support, marketing, and product teams to incorporate feedback.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform forecasts and strategy.
