Job summary

Cognex Corporation in California is seeking a technical sales professional to drive regional growth for Cognex vision and ID systems. You will engage with current and new customers, present solutions, and manage end-to-end opportunities.

The role requires at least 2+ years in technical sales, a four-year degree, a STEM focus preferred, and willingness to travel up to 20% with a own transportation; competitive OTE salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical sales experience (machine vision preferred).
• Four-year college degree from a reputable university.
• STEM/Engineering major preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to visit multiple customer accounts in a single day using one's own means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Achieve a defined sales quota within the assigned territory.
• Meet activity-based objectives including customer visits, new acquisition, and product introductions.
• Prospect new sales opportunities through cold and warm leads and schedule site visits.
• Travel to customer facilities to demonstrate Cognex products and provide technical solutions.
• Capture competitive information and update CRM with project details.
• Support trade shows and marketing events to generate qualified leads.
• Generate leads for other Cognex sales teams by identifying complex vision applications beyond scope of ID and Vision Sensor products.
