Basaran Grinder Corp. in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Machine Tool Assembler Level 3 Advanced Machine Builder to assemble and align major precision systems on site.

You will interpret engineering documentation, perform leveling and alignment, and troubleshoot during assembly and testing. The role requires extensive experience assembling precision industrial machinery, strong metrology and drawing skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineering, machining, and quality teams.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble and align machine bases, slides, linear guides, ballscrews, bearings, motors, scales, spindles, and dressers
• Perform leveling, indicating, fitting, torqueing, preload checks, and precision geometry measurements
• Install and verify lubrication, pneumatic, hydraulic, coolant, and sealing systems
• Troubleshoot fit, motion, binding, backlash, leakage, alignment, vibration, and assembly-quality issues
• Coordinate corrections with engineering, machining, electrical, quality, and purchasing
• Support machine power-up, mechanical checkout, runoff, and corrective actions

Position Summary

Builds and aligns major precision machine systems such asaxes, guideways, ballscrews, spindles, dressers, and fixtures. This builder canindependently interpret engineering documentation and troubleshoot mechanicalperformance during assembly and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and align machine bases, slides, linear guides, ballscrews,bearings, motors, scales, spindles, and dressers
• Perform leveling, indicating, fitting, torqueing, preload checks, andprecision geometry measurements
• Install and verify lubrication, pneumatic, hydraulic, coolant, andsealing systems
• Troubleshoot fit, motion, binding, backlash, leakage, alignment,vibration, and assembly-quality issues
• Coordinate corrections with engineering, machining, electrical,quality, and purchasing
• Support machine power-up, mechanical checkout, runoff, and correctiveactions

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to independently build precision industrialmachinery
• Strong drawing, metrology, alignment, bearing, fastener, and mechanicaltroubleshooting skills
• Experience using indicators, precision levels, micrometers, torquetools, and alignment equipment
• Ability to identify design, machining, tolerance, or assembly problemsand document the evidence
• Ability to plan the sequence of a major subassembly and protectprecision components

Preferred Experience ( 10+ years)

• CNC machine-tool, grinding-machine, spindle, or high-precisionautomation experience
• Hand fitting, scraping, spotting, laser alignment, or geometricinspection exposure
• Experience supporting machine startup or factory acceptance testing

What Success Looks Like

Delivers aligned major systems that move correctly, holdgeometry, and require minimal correction during power-up.

• Full-time position based primarily on-site in Hauppauge, New York
• Typical company schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m.; specific hours depend on the role
