You will interpret engineering documentation, perform leveling and alignment, and troubleshoot during assembly and testing. The role requires extensive experience assembling precision industrial machinery, strong metrology and drawing skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineering, machining, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Independently build precision industrial machinery.
• Strong drawing, metrology, alignment and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using indicators, micrometers, torquetools, and alignment equipment.
• Identify design, machining, tolerance, or assembly problems and document the evidence.
• Plan the sequence of a major subassembly and protect precision components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and align machine bases, slides, linear guides, ballscrews, bearings, motors, scales, spindles, and dressers
• Perform leveling, indicating, fitting, torqueing, preload checks, and precision geometry measurements
• Install and verify lubrication, pneumatic, hydraulic, coolant, and sealing systems
• Troubleshoot fit, motion, binding, backlash, leakage, alignment, vibration, and assembly-quality issues
• Coordinate corrections with engineering, machining, electrical, quality, and purchasing
• Support machine power-up, mechanical checkout, runoff, and corrective actions
