Job summary

Pratt is seeking an on-site machine operator in Cedar Hill, TX to handle setup, operation, and housekeeping of packaging equipment. The role includes inspecting components and ensuring quality, while training helpers and promoting cross-training opportunities.

You will follow schedules and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality, and service goals. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and can read a tape measure, follow factory masters, and apply basic math.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to read and follow instructions on factory masters.

Responsibilities

• Setup folding rails, counter ejector, bundler, pre-feeder, load former, print, and die cut sections.
• Inspect annilox rolls, dies, and plates before/after runs for maintenance needs.
• Monitor box quality including liner, warp, size, glue alignment, gaps, and print.
• Operate machinery at capacity; train and assist helpers.
• Cross-train on other machines and promote training opportunities.
• Submit maintenance work orders; maintain equipment proactively.
• Adhere to production schedule and optimize scheduling to meet goals.
• Comply with company policies and safety; other duties as assigned.
