Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Machine Operator to run and support the production line. You will be responsible for setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include monitoring quality, maximizing equipment use, and training helpers. You will also complete production and safety reports and maintain equipment to schedule. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role at our Austell facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn and assist in mechanical setup.
• Must be able to troubleshoot problems and assist in necessary repairs.
• Must have a reasonable knowledge of current Production Software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product quality, including loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
• Train and assist First and Second Helpers with job duties on the machine.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs and be proactive in equipment maintenance.
• Switch duties with First Helper as necessary.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality and service goals.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
